Reality star Toya Wright mourns loss of 2 brothers, gunned down in NOLA
Two brothers of reality television star Toya Wright were gunned down early Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 in New Orleans according to family members.
While police have not confirmed their identities, Wright wrote on social media: “Help me Lord???? I will never understand this. #stoptheviolence #ineverfeltpainlikethisbefore #riptomybrothers #icantbelievethis #prayformyfamily ???”
According to NOLA.com, the young black “men were discovered shortly after midnight Sunday, at 1:26am, inside a car near the corner of Pauger and North Miro streets in the city’s 7th Ward. Both had been shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, New Orleans police said. Less than an hour later, a man was shot to death in the Seabrook neighborhood of New Orleans East.”
Even though they haven’t seen eye-to-eye in the past, K. Michelle, who will performs tonight for the Atlanta leg of her ‘Hello Kimberly Tour,’ sent condolences via social media:
“I would DM u but we blocked each other long ago. I just received word of ur loss. Even though we’ve never met my heart hurts 4u. Nobody deserves that type of pain. We may never be best friend but U are my sister in Christ. I pray for u and your whole family. Continue 2fight for 4ur healing. I understand sleepless nights,but the best thing is the sun comes up in the morning. No beef or hate in my heart 4 you. Only support and prayers up. Please know that God has a purpose on ur life. Stay strong.”
No motive has been released and no suspects have been identified in the deaths of Rudy and Josh Johnson.
