‘Empire’ season premiere drama ends in Chicago red carpet affair

FOX’s hit television show “Empire premiered the first episode of the third season at The Harris Theatre in Chicago during a private screening. Most of the cast were present, noticeably absent were Jussie Smollett and Gabourey Sidibe. The season opener was stellar. “Empire” has sharply turned the corner and is driving full force with a stronger plot and even more riveting drama.The chemistry between the lead characters played by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard is magnetic and undeniable. There are a few twists and turns that will leave the audience gasping for air.


Back to the star-studded affair. The night culminated with a rooftop party at the Soho House, located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Hip-hop legend Biz Markie, who will guest star on the show, kept the party live as the DJ.
