It appears that Teyana Taylor gets the last laugh. As previously reported, the 25-year-old singer and her NBA baller boo Iman Shumpert recently found themselves in the middle of several cheating allegations. “I was young. I was selfish. I’ve broken hearts and been insensitive to them. I never really cared what the internet said of me until now and it’s not because they’re antagonizing me … they are now directing hate toward a woman that gives off nothing but positive energy and deserves nothing more than the world that I vow to give her,” Shumpert, 25, wrote in a now deleted post on Friday, Sept. 16. “I normally wouldn’t acknowledge this type of thing but you guys win. If you’re going to send the hate, direct it at me. Don’t make her pay for my mistakes. I’m older now, I’m different now. It’s Peace and love. Don’t make her pay for the mistakes of my past,” he continued. “It ain’t no breaking up. Junie’s gonna grow up with both her parents and siblings,” he wrote alongside a snap featuring the couple rocking matching jackets. “The bitterness will get you no where. Just spread love,” the the Cleveland Cavaliers’ star added in a follow-up post. Meanwhile, Taylor shared a cute snap featuring the pair in a close embrace, writing, “New levels…. New Devil.. Keep shining tho #Blessed.” However, come mid-week, during an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show,” the Harlem native issued the ultimate clap back, when she inadvertently revealed she’s married. “Maybe,” she said when Williams asked if she was married. “Maybe not — but maybe.” The conversation quickly transitioned from marriage to Taylor’s starring role in Kanye West’s “Fade” music video, which debuted at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. “I personally feel like had I not been through what I’ve been through, had I not had [my daughter] Junie and been in a happy space, and in love, I don’t think it would’ve came out the same way,” she said of the sensual video where she shows off her fit physique. “This was a very emotional performance for me. It was bigger than a sports bra and a thong, it was a lot of emotion in that dance.” Next, the discussion moved onto her personal life, including her ex-boyfriend, Brandon Jennings, and Shumpert, whom she casually referred to as her husband. “Remaining a good person and allowing myself to love again, is why I am where I am,” she explained. “I have a beautiful baby [and a] wonderful husband.” Though Williams pointed out Taylor’s slip-up, she simply smiled and shared the story of Shumpert delivering their now 9-month-old daughter at home. “My water broke on the toilet and he was trying to get me downstairs, and I was like, ‘We’re not making it to that car,’ so I kinda just laid on the bathroom floor,” she shared, revealing that Shumpert tied a “Beats by Dre cord” around the baby’s umbilical cord. Later on, Taylor flaunted her engagement ring, revealing why Shumpert gifted her with an “untreated ruby” instead of a diamond. “He said, ‘If anything would ever happen, with that ring alone you’ll be set,'” explained Taylor. “I said ,’Yes, I like your style!'” Congrats to the couple on their big news. Show them some love in the comment section below.
