The film and television industry lost a star today as comedian, actor and producer Thomas Mikal Ford was taken off life support in Atlanta. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, Oct. 9 when an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen and his condition had been declining since that time. Ford also had roles on “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “New York Undercover,” “Who’s Got Jokes” (Bill Bellamy), “The Parkers,” and starred in over 15 movies.

In the last few years he’d also has been putting in work behind the camera as a producer. A very funny and well liked individual, he’ll be missed by many.

  1. rip tommy i feel so old when i hear this ! time is flying folk every year someone we know is gonna die every year age dont matter peopple are just dieing … all these same illnness and once your on life support curtain is closed no one recovers ever.. i wish we could live to live instead of live to die . . all these poison foods homogenized hormon filled and chemical filled fast food will get us all eventually any dinner u cook is poison and will get u in the long run even organics is questionable .. . we ignore all the signs

    1. That’s a lie….I know for a fact people do recover from life support…I stand as a witness.
….and I don’t disagree about the diet info…but you did not know Tommy’s diet, so you are out of order if you are directing your conclusion about him. Stay in your lane.

  2. Oh my…many are sadden and shocked by this news. May the family find peace in this hour of grief. Tommy left a mark that can never be erased. We thank him for the many years of laughter and drama he imparted to us on screen and stage.

He now rest with no more pain…it looks like he was needed for the great heavenly call.
