Thanksgiving officially kicks off the holiday season with family, love and holiday celebrations. It’s that special time of year where families should come together to give thanks, share love and cherish one another. It’s that one time of year when we’re sure to be reminded of our roots, no matter where we’re from.

With that said, we must remember that our family is meant to be enjoyed on Thanksgiving Day. We all know and understand that some businesses must be open on Thanksgiving evening out of necessity, such as gas stations, grocery stores, and convenience stores. However, those retail outlets that are attempting to get a jump-start on Black Friday sales should reconsider being open on Thanksgiving. They should be reminded that holiday time is for family.

Following is a list of 13 companies that are getting family time right. They’re showing that family matters. Not only to us, but to them too. Kudos to you!
