A judge tells Phaedra Parks to pump her breaks.
Previously reported, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star filed for divorce from her husband Apollo Nida in 2014. Only, it appears that Nida’s little 8-year jail sentence for his part in a financial fraud scheme involving bank, mail, wire fraud, and ID theft of more than 50 people has gotten in the way of her motion, again.
Late last year, Parks announced she was finally legally free of Nida. However, in the weeks following, Nida would file his own motion on grounds that his name had been misspelled “Nita,” as opposed to “Nida” in court documents. According to reports, Nida requested both joint custody of their two sons, Ayden, 6, and Dylan, 3, as well as an equitable split of their assets.
The former RHOA star also claimed Parks is taking advantage of his incarceration — a sentiment the court appears to share. TMZ reports that “the judge said he was troubled by a number of things, including Phaedra ‘intentionally misspelling the parties names.'” Nida was also not informed of the final hearing nor served with documents notifying him that the divorce had been finalized.
Meanwhile, Nida’s fiance, Sherien Almufti, poured salt on the wound earlier this week when she appeared to throw shade at Parks via a meme. “Hypocrite. Hypocrisy is the state of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy involves the deception of others and is thus a lie,” the Instagram post reads. “Don’t be a hypocrite,” Almufti continued in the caption.
The alleged shade comes shortly after Parks slammed co-star Kenya Moore for throwing she and co-star Cynthia Bailey a divorce party. “I’m appalled that they would think that the breakup of a family is the cause for celebration and with the host being the trifling woman who was texting my husband. Disgusting and disgraceful,” Parks said in a text to Porsha Williams.
Parks then accused Moore of “continuously flirting” with her soon-to-be ex, to which Moore responded, “The only thing she has restored in me is knowing that she is as shady as ever.”
Can you say messy?
