Having an obsession isn’t always a bad thing. It’s what has led Africa Miranda to finding and investing in her passion. The beauty, tech and travel maven has created her own brand of beauty products aptly named Beauty by Africa Miranda. This spring, Miranda debuted what she likes to call “Brazil in a bottle,” as it recaptures the vacation glow many of us showcase following trips our favorite tropical destinations. The Facial Elixir is a cold-pressed skin care oil made from the Maracuja fruit. It’s rich with Vitamin C to nourish and protect the skin.

“I’ve spent the past 10 or 12 years as a model. For my first big beauty campaign, I helped launch Creme of Nature launch their Argan oil. From there I started working with Curls Unleashed, which was a part of ORS. I was their first natural hair talent,” she says. “I’ve been in ads for Mary Kay, Coca-Cola, and have done a lot of brand work. When you are a talent, you learn a lot behind the scenes in helping brands tell their story. I started to wonder when I was going to tell my own.”

Miranda, who won the hearts of many when she appeared as one of the reality TV cast mates of Bravo TV’s “The New Atlanta,” discovered the rare oil during a travel adventure to Rio de Janeiro. “Our facial elixir blends Maracuja Oil and Cupuacu Butter with other skin-nourishing ingredients,” she educates. Apply a few drops of this moisturizer daily to your face to hydrate your skin.

“I’m very fortunate to be able to share my travel adventures and experiences which help empower many women to reach their goals. I have taken note of the beauty secrets of women around the world that keep them looking vibrant and healthy. I strongly believe women desire and deserve quality products at accessible prices. With much pride I present my very first skin care treatment,” she avers.
