50 Cent made headlines last week when a video of him punching an overzealous female fan at his concert went viral. Although it seemed like 50 quickly squashed the beef with the touchy-feely fan, reports claim that the beef isn’t over on her end and that she’s lawyering up in preparation for a lawsuit.

For those that don’t remember, the incident happened when 50 was performing at the Baltimore soundstage earlier this month along with veteran hip-hop group The Lox. 50 was reaching into the crowd to shake hands with his fans when a female fan decided to grab the rapper’s arm and pull him offstage. A startled 50 retaliated and punched the woman square in the chest to make her let him go.

The woman, of course, eventually let go of 50’s hand and to calm the situation and make amends for the hit, 50 decided to bring the woman onstage, where she twerked for the crowd.

Video of the incident quickly spread across the internet and it appeared like 50 had dodged a bullet by letting the woman have a twerk-filled moment in the spotlight.

However, new reports have revealed that the woman’s name is Donetta Derr and that she met with attorney Warren Brown last week and decided to hire him as she prepares to file a lawsuit against 50.

According to reports, Brown says that his client went to the hospital the day after she was punched and that by Monday, April 10, she’d hired him. Brown reportedly says that 50’s actions towards Derr were “cowardly.”

Well, we should’ve known it wouldn’t be that easy for 50 to dodge a lawsuit. What do you think of the situation, though? Do you think 50 should be sued for punching Derr or should Derr avoid the legal battle? Let us know in the comments.
