Dr. Randal Pinkett: Black Millionaire Blueprint for Success
Donald Trump, creator of "The Apprentice" and "Celebrity Apprentice," with Season 4 winner Dr. Randal Pinkett

Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” did not make Dr. Randall Pinkett a star. It revealed him. Pinkett stormed to the front of black America’s consciousness in 2005 when he became the fourth-season winner of the TV reality phenomenon, “The Apprentice,” the first African American to earn the distinction.

More than his win on the popular television series, however, is the fact that Pinkett is an academic megastar. He confounded audience members when they learned that he is the owner of no less than five educational degrees, including being a Rhodes Scholar and earning three degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), one of the most elite institutions in the world. He simply towered above his contemporaries and counterparts from an intellectual and business standpoint. He was flawless and many openly wondered how someone so immensely talented could have remained in obscurity prior to the Trump-produced program.

Immediately people wanted to know who he was and where he came from. Let’s find out.
