VH1 hires marketer extraordinaire Caralene Robinson
Robinson is an award-winning executive leader and a consumer marketing expert for a diverse array of telecommunications and packaged goods including Colgate-Palmolive, The Coca-Cola Company, Cox Enterprises and Sprint Nextel Corporation, including Virgin Mobile.
Most recently, she was vice president of Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications at Sprint Nextel, where she led all marketing efforts including brand, integrated marketing, production, creative services and social media for all Sprint brands. While at Sprint her biggest success was the re-launch of Boost Mobile, which drove significant brand awareness and subscriber growth. She is also responsible for breakthrough advertising across the brand portfolio.
In her senior VP role she’ll be responsible for the face of VH1 each time the network interacts with consumers through all off-channel branding efforts and overseeing all consumer outreach which includes the channel’s music marketing, VH1 Digital marketing and on-air image/promo teams as well as all consumer and trade advertising that VH1 creates and places.

Robinson is also executive producer of the 2012 documentary Versailles ’73: American Runway Revolution. She has an MBA in marketing and finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BBA in marketing from Howard University.
She will be based in New York.
