Follow Me 2’s Sean Green, Bayo Badejo, Devin Green and Mike Johnson have found their niche. It’s one that provides the athletes and business professionals turned promoters and event planners,  an opportunity to offer Atlanta partygoers something different and takes them out of the sphere of competition with other promoters who traditionally host parties at night. The foursome have planned some unforgettable experiences. Check out a recent conversation with one of the creators, Bayo. –yvette caslin

What are some of the most effective promotions and/or campaigns you have seen that have made for great events?
One of the most effective campaigns I have ever seen was in our very own back yard in Columbus, Ohio. Having spent time living in Columbus, I saw this Nationwide Insurance campaign which depicted a spilled paint bucket with paint dripping down the side of the building into the parking lot below. Although this did not turn into an event, it made for a lot of traffic from drivers passing by. I believe that one of the top 10 most effective campaigns around the world to this day is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. This event has been televised for years, catching the eye of millions of consumers each year.

What are the requirements for getting people out to your events in your opinion?
Using social media giants Facebook, Twitter, and Pingg are a must. However, nothing is [more] important to us than personally interacting with guests and customers. Follow Me 2 is about a tailored experience. In order for us to deliver these unique experiences, we apply a mix of promotional strategies to capture attention in the nooks and crannies.

What are you most successful nights, during the week and on weekends? Do you have drink specials? When is the next day party?
Our most successful night to date has been Thursday at bar ONE. We definitely look forward to our guests and customers continuing to come and enjoy our April 28 day party at Café Circa from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., with special musical guest Grits & Jellybutter.

How important is it to attract diverse crowds?
Attracting a diverse crowd is most certainly a top priority of Follow Me 2. This is the epitome of Follow Me 2 as a brand, to keep people engaged with new experiences as well as to share their own, and the best way is through diversity. Our mission is to expose new venues to customers and clients, while creating engaging environments for people to meet and experience new products and/or services.

How do you keep things fresh and innovative?                                                                                             Follow Me 2 keeps things fresh and innovative by sharing our passion for new experiences, our willingness to explore and seek out other creative environments and people, and keeping it simple while adding style, class, and flavor.
