Princeton University: 8 Black Intellectuals You Should Know

Princeton’s Center of African American Studies is one of the preeminent institutions dedicated to the research and teaching of the African American experience. Developed in 2006, the center enriches students by providing a better understanding of the history of race and African American culture.

Rolling out magazine recently visited Princeton’s Center of African American Studies and spoke with several professors and students on campus.

    Why should we know a sophomore or undergraduate student with no scientific record? Also be nice if we would show the scientist: Math, physics, chemistry, Surgery.  African American studies isn’t a real science..my 2 cents  ..great job

    Why should we limit the spotlight and only showcase professors? Black undergrads/grads are doing a tremendous job and should be commended for being one of only a few blacks who get a chance to compete at an Ivy League institution. They serve as an inspiration for others and we want to give them more confidence to push ahead…
