The NAMIC Leadership Seminar has a motto of “careers by design not by default,” and plans to achieve this through an interactive learning experience to include: exploration of professional strengths and developmental needs; charting a course for the enhancement of individual leadership potential; generating a career-by-design strategic template; Learning about the power of mentoring as a proven career development tool; Giving and receiving constructive feedback; cross-cultural problem-solving and decision-making and understanding diversity as a core organizational value. The scholarship is made possible by NAMIC’s continued partnership with the Walter Kaitz Foundation, said James C. The NAMIC curriculum is culled from academic research by forward thinkers in effective leadership and diversity; those who attend the seminar will be an added value to a competitive market, Jones added.
“Seminar participants are making contributions central to their companies’ growth in today’s competitive business environment, as they evolve into our industry’s leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
