New York police officers will have to answer questions regarding the untimely death of 43 year-old Carlos Alcis. According to reports, New York police who banged on his family’s door awakened Alcis at 5:30 a.m. The police were looking for a suspect who punched a woman in the face and took her iPhone.

They believed Alcis’ 16 year-old son was a suspect, woke him up, and forced him to go outside without ever placing him under arrest. The police officers asked the alleged victim if Emmanuel was the one who hit her and stole her phone. However, the woman told the police that he was not the person responsible for the attack.

Emmanuel’s father Carlos was overwhelmed by the incident, began shaking, and collapsed. Blood poured from Carlo’s mouth as police continued to search through the family’s apartment. Finally, a police officer began to give Carlos chest compressions and told Emmanuel to blow into his father’s mouth.

It took 30 minutes for the ambulance to arrive after the 911 call. Carlos, a married father of eight kids, eventually died. Police later found the woman’s phone with an app that tracks cell phone devices.

Police who were involved have not been charged.
