Jonathan Ferrell, unarmed former FAMU football player, was shot 10 times

A former FAMU football player that was gunned down by a police officer was riddled with ten bullets before his death. As previously reported Jonathan Ferrell was unarmed and seeking help after a car crash September 14 in Charlotte, N.C. when Officer Randall Kerrick fired several shots at him and killed him at the scene.

Now according to an official autopsy, Kerrick shot Ferrell 10 times after firing 12 shots at the 24-year-old. He is facing a voluntary manslaughter charge and is scheduled for his first court appearance Tuesday.

Before his untimely and seemingly racially motivated death, Ferrell was working two jobs to support himself and his fiancée. Newly engaged, Ferrell wanted to go back to school and study to become an automotive engineer. -danielle canada
