Another video has emerged that features police brutality in New York. On Dec. 15, NYPD officers arrested a 12-year-old Black child in Manhattan.

Witnesses say the police arrested him in response to someone being attacked with a cane. However, some witnesses have claimed that the boy arrested was not involved with the crime.

Video footage from a cellphone showed three police officers surrounding the boy and handcuffing him. A plainclothes police officer ran up to the boy and began punching him repeatedly. The other police officers did nothing to stop the attack on the 12-year-old boy. As the police attacked the boy, witnesses can be heard yelling, “Hey, stop it, get off of him!”

Other witnesses yelled that the boy was only 12.

The police continued with the attack and arrested the boy and two other kids who appeared to be teens.

With the recent deaths of Black unarmed men at the hands of police officers, it’s become apparent that more must be done to eradicate police brutality.
