Boat Tours

This year, boat tours have been really popular and a must do at Navy Pier. Navy Pier is a distinctive landmark for all Chicagoans and tourists to visit. It’s right along our beautiful shore line, off of Lake Michigan, that was built in 1916. A few fun and popular boats tours depart from here.

Lollapolooza Fest

Here’s a definite go-to event to be experienced — this year’s Lollapalooza in Grant Park. Lollapalooza is one of the largest Chicago festivals that cater to all the musical tastes of tourists and residents. They provide well renowned artists like: Nas, Jhene Aiko, Lorde, OutKast and so many more talented artists. This is a three day event. But, you have the option to pay for all three days or select one day that satisfies your musical itch and attend when your favorite artists are performing. This event begins on August 1 – 3, in Grant Park. For pricing go to www.lollapalooza.com.

Music Festivals

During the summertime, a series of Chicago Festivals go on that are popular and a fun exciting way to hear your favorite music, chow down on some awesome food and be adventurous all at the same place. One really exciting festival is The Skydive Chicago Summer Fest 2014. That’s right!! A skydiving festival, that allows you to take a skydiving course with experienced professionals. If the skydiving isn’t exhilarating enough, the fest also offers live band performances and keen aircraft selections to choose from. The fest begins July 26 and runs through August 3. For location and rules that apply, visit www.skydivechicago.com. This is the festival’s 13th anniversary.

For my grown and sexy Jazz fans, visit the Chicago World Class Jazz festival this year at Millennium Park. If you enjoy smooth baritones and sultry voices, you’ll want to experience this jazz festival. It all happens July 24 – August 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Also, to get into the summer styles, nothing’s cuter than a trendy crop top. Crop tops are always cute and a quick way to throw an outfit together. What seems to be really popular are the mesh crop tops, in beautiful summer colors like mint green, yellow and pink. Also, lately I’ve been seeing these knit tops with fun slogans like “Celfie,” or “You Can’t Sit With Us.” Lastly, what better way to finish these fun and flirty fashion ideas than with a cute patterned handbag. A cute handbag  can always enhance your summer look.
