BMW i3 and the Top 5 Vans Unveiled at Auto Show in Detroit

The BMW i3 bedazzled car conventioneers when it debuted at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The urban electric hybrid van or car is billed as the automaker’s first zero emission mass produced vehicle and is expected to make deliveries in several major world markets at the end of 2013.

That’s where we’re going with vehicles nowadays. BMW says it will not produce any emissions because of its electric powertrain, and BMW also expects to be the first company to launch a volume production vehicle on the market featuring carbon-fiber plastic to improve the vehicle’s energy consumption. It’s expected get 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016 as mandated by American laws. The projected MSRP on BMW i3 is expected to be approximately $35,000 in the United States. These are not your parents vans, that’s for sure.
