A wealthy defense contractor didn’t show up for work for two days and neither did his wife who worked at Blackbird Technologies, a company that specializes in defense, law enforcement and intelligence work. Both were granted government security clearances.

Albert Peterson, 57, committed suicide, but not before taking the life of his wife Kathleen, 52, and sons Matthew, 16, and Christopher, 13, in their home in Herndon, Va. Each of the deceased died of gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Relatives and friends of the family report that Peterson had a history of mental illness and was suffering from paranoia and depression. In his daily e-mails to them, he ranted incessantly about politics and that our “God-given rights were being taken away,” the government was irresponsible and how he didn’t want his sons to inherit the “mess.”

The couple had been married for 25 years and their oldest son had plans to attend college. –yvette caslin

If this guy had a history of mental illness, how on earth was he allowed to get married & have kids? People like this are a danger to themselves and everyone around them!

The heading is misleading. Was Obama mentioned in the emails or is his name synonymous with politics? Perhaps he was talking about Romney.

I agree, irresponsible journalism with this headline. The man killed his family due to mental illness.
It’s stilla pretty sad end, though.

Look people, the man worked for motherfucking Northrop Grumman Corp. His wife worked for Blackbird Technologies. They lived in Fairfax County, VA. Coincidentally, Romney just rallied there, giving speeches that bashed Obama and automatic defense cuts (sequestration), while promoting/glorifying his own defense strategies. If you’re going to come up with a conspiracy, you sure as hell can do better than this crock of shit.

“…our “God-given rights were being taken away,” the government was irresponsible…”.

Considering who he and his wife worked for seems like he knows SOMETHING, and to him, it wasn’t good! Anyone familiar with the larger political scene would agree (but not necessarily kill themselves).

You can best believe if Romney was elected-I would not have killed myself or my family. He killed himself because he had a mental illness. Lets call a spade a spade. President Obama had nothing to do with his mental illness.
