Once again, social media platforms like Twitter turned upl as new information was revealed in the CIA’s torture report. The report, released by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, discloses new details about the CIA’s torture practices. From waterboarding, food and sleep deprivation to many other unthinkable acts, the report admits that many of their tactics were not only unlawfully enforced and carried out, but also ineffective. While many mainstream news outlets have chosen not to cover the reports, Twitter activists and political pundits shared political cartoons and memes to spread the word.
