Holly Solomon runs over husband for not voting
An pregnant Arizona woman is in police custody today after authorities say she lashed out at her husband for not voting in the 2012 presidential election.
Holly Solomon, 28, of Gilbert, Ariz., was reportedly so irate at her husband Daniel Solomon for not voting that she chased him down with her vehicle and ran him over. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing Daniel run for cover behind a light pole. When he finally stepped from behind it, however, he was struck.
“This woman just ran down her husband or boyfriend in the parking lot,” said a witness to a 911 operator. “She got out of the car and she was screaming at him, started driving circles around him and finally he started trying to get away and she ran into him.”
MyFoxPhoenix reports that a large part of Solomon’s anger stemmed over the Affordable Care Act, referred to as “Obamacare,” which she believed would bring hardship to her family. Solomon has since been slapped with domestic violence and aggravated assault charges. She contends that the entire thing was a misunderstanding and she accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake when she confronted her husband. –danielle canada
