The perpetrators are known among their peers as “The Rape Crew.” Their most heinous act to date is gang raping a 15-year-old girl and posting their conquest on the Internet. On Aug. 27, 2012, two alleged players, identified on a blog (Local Leaks) as Trent Mays and Malik Richmond, on the Big Red High School football team were arrested for the kidnap and rape, which occurred on Aug. 11, 2012, in Steubenville, Ohio. The defenseless victim had allegedly been given a date rape drug.

The smoking gun: the offenders photographed and videotaped their crime, which included showing her being taken, while comatose, to different parties and even urinated on. Additionally, they posted comments on Facebook and Twitter regarding the act. Another underage student, Michael Collins Nodianos, was allegedly connected to the crime but charges have been dropped. In the video “Confession” he makes inflammatory remarks about the rape victim and even about the late Trayvon Martin.

Protestors in the town are convinced she was raped by more than the two 16-year-old football players charged in the crime.

It’s the classic case of a town trying to protect their prized football team, a big revenue generator. A group calling themselves Knight Sec is breaking this conspiracy of silence as the court date draws near for the players.
