Spring and Summer 2012 Nail Trends

With the arrival of spring, it’s important to exfoliate that dry winter skin for healthy, moisturized hands, feet and nails.

Spring and Summer 2012 Nail Trends

Rolling out had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of The Nail Spot in Atlanta, where several of the latest trends in nail designs were showcased, from metallics to the “new” nudes.

Spotted: Natural nails painted with bright colors and  pastels. Nude nails are also a hit this season as well as gel or acrylic nails with different designs and patterns.

Quick Tips:
1. Nudes: The nude nails that have been around for several seasons are back. This look has been spotted at spring 2012 fashion shows such as Derek Lam and Giorgio Armani. Keep undertones in mind and you can never go wrong with the simple earth tones.

2. Bright Colors: Brights can be rocked in yellow, purple, green, pink, red etc. The bright nail really stands out and looks amazing paired with a neutral outfit.

3. Nail Art and Patterns: The stiletto nails are in as well as the medium-length rounded nail. Some popular designs are the Ombre nail (spotted in the Jen Kao fashion week show), stripes and checks. Have fun with it — that is what spring and summer are all about!

For a limited time, The Nail Spot is offering a 20 percent discount on all services. The salon offers appointments and walk-ins, so book yours today.
