Known for his appreciation for cognac, Jay-Z’s is aligning his celebrity status with a cognac brand. Set to Rival Hennessy, Courvoisier and Rémy Martin, D’Usse (DOO’-say) is Bacardi’s premium


cognac. D’Ussé VSOP Cognac is elegantly packaged in a simple bottle — round shaped, corked, and label-free featuring a golden double cross.

The cognac is aged for a minimum of four and a half years in the cellars of France’s Chateau de Cognac and arouses the palate with its bold woody aroma with hints of almond, cinnamon


and fl oral notes. If traveling to New York, be sure to visit the rap mogul’s 40/40 Club at Barclays Center and try Ace X D’Ussé, a cocktail blending Jay-Z’s favorite luxury champagne with the VSOP cognac.

The premium cognac retails for $45 to $50 for a 750 milliliter bottle.

Ingredients
1 ounce, rye whiskey
1 ounce D’Ussé cognac
1 ounce sweet vermouth
1 teaspoon Bénédictine D.O.M.
2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Preparation:
Mix all ingredients in a double old fashioned glass over ice and stir.
