They shot this kid in cold blood. I just walked past 3 three white kids this weekend dressed as skinheads. I didn’t conclude that they were racists against blacks or jews, but they certainly weren’t dressed “appropriately” but I didn’t presume that they were gonna drag me behind a car. This automatic thinking someone black is a thug is the root cause of this type of event and if white parents raised their kids not to take on the same bigoted mindset brought up in their home, kids like Trayvon Martin wouldn’t be shot due to their color of their skin.

This boy was NOT robbing, stealing or killing. He was a good kid and was just going home. The THUG here was the man who was stalking him and shot him in cold blood. Zimmerman has had domestic violence charges against him, resisting an officer without violence, and assaulting an officer…and now this homicide. He has harassed the police department, had many filed complaints against him by the members of that same gated community who didn’t feel safe with him around. He calls 911 the night of the shooting of his own free will admitting that he was following Trayvon to the store and from the store because he didn’t “like the look of him” (THAT is always an acceptable answer for stalking someone, now isn’t it?) Trayvon runs away from him down a side street, and Zimmerman mutters to the operator on the phone “these assholes always get away with this” also muttering a slur about Trayvon being a Coon, and freely admits to the 911 operator that he’s chasing after him. The operator tells him “okay, we DON’T need you to do that,” and clearly Zimmerman did not obey the police department’s instructions because Trayvon is now dead by a bullet to the chest from Zimmerman and his loaded firearm he was carrying. Trayvon had a cellphone, Skittles, and Arizona Ice Tea (possibly house keys as well). Trayvon’s body gets taken for a toxicology exam while Zimmerman never faces a homicide investigator at all and gets to leave a free man after giving his side of the story. Why does Zimmerman get to walk away free from a homicide? His father (Robert J Zimmerman) is a retired Supreme Court Magistrate, his mother (Gladys Zimmerman) is a court clerk, and Zimmerman’s attoryney (Craig Soner) is a close friend. Are you kidding me?! Zimmerman has basically been living with the legal protection of Diplomatic Immunity thanks to daddy’s connections! “I read and looked into this” — yeah, WhiteWolf…you definitely LOOKED into this. I can see a bright future for you in the field of investigative reporting…you ass.

If it were true and there actually are athletes and entertainers who are donating, don’t you think they would not want this to be made public? The BP Party is outraged, and rightfully so. As an educator, I know of many kids especially young black men who have and will be graduating this year with their HS diploma, BA/BS, MA/MS/M.ED and PH.D who are doing just the opposite of what is discribed below. USArmy- You’re argument is baseless. I’ve over 42 x months deployed downrange (2 x 15 month/1 x 12 month deployment) in Iraq. I served as a platoon leader, Rifle Company Commander, and on a transition team as an advisor in Sadr City, Mosul, and Tal Afar. I know for a fact, we have always paid condolence payments to the families if there was some sort of accidental civilian casualty or damage to property…the dollar amount was more because this was a rogue act and not a planned operation. Furthermore, the President spoke about it (Martin/Zimmerman case) because he was asked by a reporter in an unrelated press conference. He didn’t give his opinion on the matter he simply said that it was a tragic and unfortunate situation and that Martin could have been his son. When has the President ever been asked to comment on a case where a White person was killed by a Black person?? (don’t worry, I’ll wait…I’m sure it has never happened). I suggest you utilized “google” and “youtube” to verify the abovementioned facts before spouting off like Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Bleck.

Frankly, the last time a person of color killed a white person out of sport was in the late 2000′s and it was the rare black serial killer in DC (DC sniper). The DC Sniper killed people of all ethnic backgrounds and races. He killed at least three black men, several white people and a Hispanic woman waiting for a bus. The history of whites killing black people for sport is long and illustrious in this country. And it only stopped once black people started fighting back. There’s a very good book on the subject called The Deacons of Defense: Armed Resistence in the Civil Rights Movement. When an officer kills someone in the line of duty, that officer is taken off of active duty and the situation is investigated to make certain that the officer did not use excessive force and operated strictly by the book. However, to make it as big a deal as putting a bounty out on this scumbag is going over the top. If the courts don’t get him, he is guaranteed to get his day. I think the New Black Panthers got it just as right as anyone else in this country who wish to offer money for information and conviction of anyone who has harmed a loved one. This is an American practice that not only the public but the law enforcement system engages in whenever they think it is appropriate or needed. If they have the right to do that, then there is nothing stopping or preventing another organization like the New Black Panthers from doing so. If their offer of money is any good and is effective in getting more attention drawn to this case, then I praise them for being big, bad and bold enough to enter into the conversation. Just don’t go any further to engage in violence. This is harmful to the cause. But at this stage of the game, I feel nothing but support and pride in their offer. It is just as good a tactic as that of any majority-population effort. Show an overwhelming vote of support for these stand-up young men.

Also some other interesting tidbit’s is the shooting happened at 7:15 pm on 2/26. Trayvon’s parent’s were tracked down and notified on 2/28. No one in the Mitchell family made any effort to locate Trayvon. Nor had they filed a missing person’s report. In addition..Taryvon told his g.f. someone was following him, then why for goodness sake didn’t his g.f. and his parent’s not look for him or worried when he didn’t show up or come home.It took 2 DAY’S to track them down.The new’s is being disingenious for attempting to paint a picture of trayvon in being an innocent when record’s reveal otherwise. It’s tragic a 17yr. old was killed but it’s just as tragic to destroy a life that was trying to defend himself.
