Bill Maher sent a shocking tweet to Kim Kardashian last night after she expressed her disgust over the Casey Anthony verdict. Kim’s father, the late Robert Kardashian, was a part of the legal team that helped acquit OJ Simpson for his ex-wife’s murder. After Casey Anthony’s acquittal, celebrities and media personalities voiced their anger over Twitter.  Kim Kardashian was among them and tweeted in disbelief:

“WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!I am speechless!!!”

In response to her tweet, Bill Maher tweeted yesterday:

“Kim Kardashian is upset with Casey Anthony verdict? Ur father defended O.J.! Starting the Kardashian tradition of getting black men off”

Yikes!

Although Kim hasn’t directly addressed Bill’s insulting comment, she did make this broad statement:

“Reading the comments here & its nuts people think just because I was close to the OJ trial I can’t have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?”

Yep.  That’s means, “Shut Up Kim!  You need to stay in your lane.  Legal issues were your father’s thing, not yours.  You’ll be partying with that chick in less than 2 years.  Give her some lip-gloss….”

As much as Maher often make sense when speaking, I MUST disagree with him on this one and say that his comments were ignorant. It was uncalled for in what he said to Kim by Tweet. Just because her father was one of the lawyers who represented OJ Simpson and gained him freedom, it doesn’t mean that Kim’s life and views should be shaddowed by her father doing his job as an attorney in saving the life and securing the freedom of a man accused of murder.  Can we be more ignorant as a society? Geez
