Chad Johnson’s very public domestic abuse allegations are continuing to tarnish his image, this time thanks to an ex-girlfriend. As previously reported, Johnson was arrested after his wife Evelyn Lozada claimed he violently head butted her during an argument. Fast-forward two days later and the “Basketball Wives” star had filed for divorce, Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins, his VH1 show was canned, an endorsement with Zico coconut water was canceled, and his Florida home was rumored to be going into foreclosure.
If all of those recent developments weren’t shameful enough, an unnamed woman has now come forward claiming to be the NF’er’s ex and alleging that she, too, was abused. TMZ reports that Johnson’s college girlfriend has been attempting to contact Lozada on Twitter and Facebook but the woman has had no luck, and Lozada has remained mum on the situation on social media. Nonetheless, the woman is said to be seeking “closure” and hopes a conversation with the soon-to-be ex Mrs. Ochocinco will help. Johnson was reportedly convicted of slapping the woman during an argument in 2000.
Johnson has yet to comment on this latest development but has been noticeably melancholy on his usually comedic @Ochocinco Twitter account. After receiving a tweet from Snoop Dogg that read, “Keep ya head up @ochocinco it seems like u down and out,” Johnson responded; “I can’t c [sic] where I’m going with my head down …”
