Courvoisier Gold toasts to the 'gold life' with Rocsi Diaz and Bridget Kelly

Rocsi Diaz and Bridget Kelly attend a ‘Toast To The Gold Life’

On Thursday, Nov. 16 Atlanta was cloaked in gold for an exclusive one-night-only affair. Rocsi Diaz, flanked by singer Bridget Kelly and Chef Roblé visited Vanquish lounge for a ‘Toast To The Gold Life’ highlighting Courvoisier Golds’ signature cocktails.

Both Diaz and Kelly checked in with rolling out, while the city’s finest sipped the aureate drinks of the evening. Kelly, who’s signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label, shared that she was most excited to indulge in the evening’s festivities, but not before treating the crowd to her single “Special Delivery.”

“I’m looking forward to this nice little tasting for the masses,” said Kelly. “I’m not usually a cognac fan, but I’m looking forward to tasting that and a performance.” Kelly is currently planning on releasing her LP in 2013 and shared that it’s taught her to have patience. The singer also added that the music which details intimate moments of her life, left her fully exposed to fans. “It [the album] ended up being more soulful than I thought, I was initially a little angry when I started and then it ended up being more vulnerable.”

And while Kelly was chiefly anticipating post-performance sips, the host for the night had one specific cocktail in mind.”I’m excited to try this gold Bellini,” said Rocsi Diaz while on the gold carpet. “It’s an infusion of moscato, Courvoisier and fresh pureed peaches with a little champagne.” Additionally the former ‘106 & Park’ host pledged to make her return to television but stopped short of giving specifics. And while remaining virtually mum on her own post-BET success, the star was willing to speak freely on her former co-host Terrence Jenkins. Jenkins has of course taken over Ryan Seacrest’ coveted spot at E! News.”Ryan Seacrest was our Dick Clark, he was our Carson Daly and now Terrence is going to be able to fill that void and as a black man fill that void. He’s already putting the Terrence pizzaz to the show so I’m so, so, super proud of him.”

Both Diaz and Kelly would later be spotted partying in the swanky southern crowd. The occasion was especially special for Diaz who was celebrating her 29th birthday.
