The 1978 musical film produced by Motown Productions and Universal Pictures was widely popular and featured an entirely African-American cast reprising The Wizard of Oz. With Diana Ross as Dorothy and Michael Jackson as ‘The Scarecrow’ viewers couldn’t resist this classic.
