After garnering huge ratings and launching a series of popular catchphrases, rambunctious 7-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is preparing to unleash a second dose of her and her family’s antics on TV. Honey, whose “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” show aired its last episode Sept. 26, will have a chance to stumble her way back into viewers’ hearts this holiday season. TLC announced plans this week to bring the cast comprised of Honey Boo Boo, Mama, Pumpkin, Chubbs, Chickadee and SugaBear back for a series of “HOLLAday” specials. Yes, HOLLAday specials. That is not a misprint.
” ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ has become a pop culture phenomenon. What you see is what you get, and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family’s unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers,” said the network in a statement released to the media.
During Wednesday’s season finale, Honey Boo Boo’s big sister, Chickadee, finally gave birth to her baby girl. The 18-year-old’s delivery didn’t come without a bit of drama; her daughter was born with three thumbs. Baby Kaitlyn has the requisite one thumb on her left hand; her right hand, however, has two. –danielle canada
