Jonas Bevacqua, LRG Founder and Creative Director, Dead at 34

It is a sad day in the fashion community. Co-founder and creative director of LRG (Lifted Research Group), one of the most successful streetwear brands, has passed away. Jonas Bevacqua was found dead in his Los Angeles home earlier today.

The death was reported first on Twitter by Ben Baller, Los Angeles-based celebrity jeweler and close friend to Bevacqua. Baller wrote: “woke up at 8am to the worst news I’ve heard in my lifetime … my best man.”

Bevacqua founded LRG in 1999 with Robert Wright. It  became one of the fastest growing apparel companies ever. Bevacqua was not only inspiring, but also an innovator who successfully brought together his vision of style and culture. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bevacqua’s family and friends.
