Lil Jon Puts Foot in Mouth, Gets Fired From ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

Throughout this season of “Celebrity Apprentice,” Atlanta rapper Lil Jon has continually been at the front of the pack, and many believed him to be a contender for a spot in the finale. But during last night’s episode, the King of Crunk made a critical faux pas, costing him a spot in next week’s finale.

During the first half of the episode, the final four competitors — Lil Jon, John Rich, Meat Loaf and Marlee Matlin — met with past “Celebrity Apprentice” winners Bret Michaels, Joan Rivers and Piers Morgan, who were brought in to interview the competitors and help decide who should be the final two contestants.

When directly asked which two competitors should make it to the finale, Jon, unlike his fellow castmates, fumbled when he told the obviously stunned past winners that Rich and Matlin should make it to the finale, not himself.

“Honestly, this is the type of guy I am. I didn’t come here saying, ‘I’m going to win this thing.’ I came to win some money for my charities. I’ve won $80,000 … [I] won twice. People thought I was going to be gone the first d–n week. I’m still here,” said Jon, adding that he also came to the show “to show people that all rappers are not blunt-smoking, crack-selling, ignorant people.”

Later, during the boardroom elimination, Donald Trump explained to Jon that the past winners “hated his answer” and compared the rapper to first-season competitor boxer Lennox Lewis, who made it to the final four only to be fired after he failed to pick himself for the finale during interviews. Trump then fired Jon and Meat Loaf, leaving Rich and Matlin to battle it out in the finale.

“I’m happy that I could bring awareness to my charity and bring them that money as well,” said Jon as he exited the show. “I don’t have any regrets. I kept it all the way, as we say in the hood, one hundred. And that’s all I could do.”
