Michelle Obama Talks the President’s Singing
President Barack Obama definitely turned heads and gained a slew of new fans when he sang a snippet Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” at a Jan. 19 fundraising event in Harlem. But according to Obama’s No. 1 fan, first lady Michelle Obama, her hubby gives private concerts all the time, saying that he frequently serenades her with love songs.
During a trip to “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Tuesday, Jan. 31, Michelle chatted with Leno about her hubby’s singing and explained that she didn’t know Obama was going to give an impromptu mini-concert. However, she said that she is a fan of her husband’s voice and that he serenades her all the time with classics from the likes of Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.
“He does have a beautiful voice and he sings to me all the time … he sings that song. He doesn’t hesitate to show off his lungs to his wife,” said Michelle.
His voice isn’t the only thing that Michelle likes about her husband. The first lady admitted that she’s fond of her husband’s graying hair and proudly gushed that she knows she has a looker on her hands.
“He’s aging, but he’s gorgeous …” said Michelle.
It’s nice to see such a loving couple keeping the love and romance burning brightly in their marriage. Michelle Obama isn’t the only lucky woman who’s had a famous man serenade her. Check out this list of love-drunk male singers. –nicholas robinson
