Most women just don’t have that “snap-back” after giving birth to a child. And actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict has no problem keeping it real about postpartum issues of physical and emotional recovery.

Mowry-Hardrict gave her fans a glimpse at her realistic body just two weeks after giving birth to her and husband Corey Hardrict’s second child.

Mowry-Hardrict is best known for starring in the 1990’s sitcom “Sister, Sister” and in the sizzling BET drama series “The Game.” Her twin sister Tamera Mowry, who starred with her in the sitcom, is now a co-cast member on the hit daytime talk show “The Real.”

Today, Tia Dashon Mowry, 39, who was born in Gelnhausen, Germany, is advising her female fan base that it is perfectly fine if you do not snap back immediately after having a baby as many have been seen with celebrities such as Beyoncé and Toya Wright.

In fact, Mowry-Hardrict says she actually still looks pregnant weeks after the delivery.

“Do I still have a belly yes,” she wrote on her Instagram page. “I actually look like I’m 4 months pregnant and that is OKAY. I wanted to shine a light on how our society creates false expectations after a woman gives birth.”

Here’s what she said in full:

“This is MY #postpartum. Two weeks in. Do I still have a belly yes. I actually look like I’m 4 months pregnant and that is OKAY. I wanted to shine a light on how our society creates false expectations after a woman gives birth. Ladies, it’s okay that our bodies are not PERFECT after our babies are born. Give your self time. Go at your own pace. Don’t allow people to put a time limit on YOUR body. You’ve just accomplished a miracle! #Love yourself, love your new body, embrace it. It you [sic] want to make changes than [sic] that’s your desire and no one else’s. Ps, #moms freaking rock! #fashion.”
