NeNe Leakes denies having her ‘RHOA’ enemies fired

By the end of season five of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” all of the original cast members of the show had left, except NeNe Leakes. And although rumors claimed that Kim Zolciak, who jumped ship mid-season, might return in season six, she’s nowhere to be found in a new preview of the upcoming season. While many people have assumed that Leakes has been getting rid of all of her original “RHOA” enemies one-by-one, she recently denied that she had anything to do with their departures.

During a recent Shade 45 interview with Sway Calloway and Heather B (the first black woman to ever appear on the groundbreaking reality show “The Real World”), Leakes discussed her beefs with cast mates like Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield, who was reportedly booted from the show last year. But Leakes assured all that she hasn’t given any cast mate the boot.

“I was the first housewife in and I think that’s why people assume that. I was the very first housewife and I referred Kim and Sheree and DeShawn Snow; that was season 1,” she explained, omitting former cast mate Lisa Wu Hartwell.

Although Leakes has a great relationship with Bravo executive and “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen, she denies having any sway when it comes to who he and the rest of his team want on “RHOA.”

“I don’t have nothing on Bravo. They do their own hiring and firing, so I had no hand in that,” she said.

However, she did take a moment to flaunt her status as the last original cast member.

“I am the last original housewife standing, so that should tell you a lot,” she said.

Well, we think it’s safe to say that we’re just glad that Leakes (and Zolciak) are still around on TV to make us laugh.
