One of the biggest names in America is vying for a chance to interview a man quickly becoming one of the most talked about people in the news.

Oprah Winfrey has confirmed that she hopes to interview George Zimmerman, the 28-year-old man who admitted to killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

The talk show host spoke with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway and confirmed that she wants to sit down with Zimmerman so he can tell his side of the story.

“It is a tragedy and it is a shame that we’re sitting here 33 days later and there hasn’t been an arrest, or questioning of what actually happened. It’s a tragedy and it is a shame and we all know it. Mr. Zimmerman … I would love to talk to him,” said Winfrey.

Winfrey also gave insight on her recent interview with Whitney Houston’s family that gave her OWN network its highest ratings in history.

According to Winfrey, she received backlash for interviewing Bobbi Kristina while standing up, but insists that she had to “use that moment.”

“When I saw her, the reason I didn’t sit down [with Bobbi  Kristina] is because I was told that she didn’t really want to sit down, so I  just used that moment,” she said.

Why?  She like many others have already determined that he is guilty.  They all claim that they want justice.  If he is put on trial and found not guilty will that satisfy their call for justice?  You and I both know that won’t be the case.

Considering O just cancelled Rosie’s show and fired 30 people, I am more inclined to think that securing this interview would be just the network boost she needs to get The Discovery Channel Execs off her azz. On average, its been reported that Oprah’s OWN Network receives about 318,000 viewers a day. So, Oprah interviewing Zimmerman is no more than Oprah trying to secure ratings for her failing OWN Network.

Interviewing Trayvon’s parents will draw viewers, but the public already knows their position so that’s not really Oprah interview worthy right now. However, if she received 3.5+ million viewers for her interview with Bobbi Kristina, you know interviewing Florida’s version of  bin Laden will have the whole wide world watching honey! Don’t let the smooth taste fool ya. The baddest chick in the land is far from slick! She’s not a billionaire business woman for nothing. And she’s so amazing that in many ways, I wanna be just like her!

    All Hail Oprah…
