Media and music megastars and business moguls imparted powerful words of wisdom and inspiration to young businesspeople and aspiring entrepreneurs at the inaugural Dream Project Symposium in Atlanta, a one-day power-packed conference founded by Egami Consulting Group CEO Teneshia Warner .

Cathy Hughes, the famed founder and chairman of Radio One and TV One, told a packed room of 250 multicultural businesspeople at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta to stay focused and never allow anyone to dissuade them from the dreams born in their souls. Russell Simmons, the founder of the iconic Def Jam, Phat Farm and the trendsetting GlobalGrind.com, told proprietors exercise and grow their faith and meditate on success.

And, of course, hometown hero Will Packer, the co-founder of Rainforest Films with Rob Hardy (Tois, Think Like a Man, Stomp the Yard, Takers, Obsessed) implored the throng of eager listeners to develop business flexibility to find unorthodox avenues towards success and revenue streams. He told a hilarious story of his first movie — a critical and commercial flop — because he invited Hollywood heavyweights and rainmakers to the premiere on the campus at Florida A&M University (FAMU) and none of them showed up. But that forced Rainforest Films into an independent mode which is the reason why they found the road to success.

This was precisely the kind of invigorating day and seed-planting endeavor that Egami CEO Warner envisioned when she sculpted the Dream Project, which was sponsored by Verizon Wireless, Delta Airlines and Google.

“As a Multicultural Small Business Owner myself, it has always been important to me to set the stage for other Small Business Owners coming into their own,” says Teneshia Warner, event host, CEO and Founder of Egami Consulting Group. “The Dream Project Symposium is my offering to this burgeoning community of tomorrow’s business leaders, to connect them with the things, ideas, resources and people that could potentially take their current position to greater heights.”

The evening concluded with “Casting Your Dream,” which gave pre-identified business owners to pitch their plans before a panel of business connoisseurs for the opportunity to win one-on-one tutelage as well as receive a Verizon Wireless technology gift.
