Name: Anthony James aka AjX aka Tone

Project: Crossroads, an 11 Eleven 11 Project

What drew you to the project?
Well, Mel introduced me to the project, and at first I thought, “Let someone else enjoy the experience.” I have been building with Mel Jackson and Sharon Tomlinson on the principles of writing for a couple of years. But, when he expounded on the components of the project; it was a no brainer.

Where were you born/Where were you raised?
I was born in Macon, Ga.  I am still being raised everyday, at least mentally.

Zodiac Sign: December 31 is my Earthday: Capricorn.

What do you hope viewers walk away with after seeing this project?
A higher value on family, because really the family is the primary organization. I’d like them to leave knowing that there is always a way out of whatever it is we get ourselves into.

Who are your personal idols in the industry?
I really don’t have any idols other than, the Creator. Yeah, I ‘wanna’ be like God and create things.

Pop culture guilty pleasures.
I am generally not guilty about any of the pleasures I indulge in.

What’s on your music play list?
Miles Davis, [John] Coltrane, [Thelonius] Monk, Tupac, and young Red Storm.

MAC or PC.
Mac, making use of that Apple baby.

Previous work.
My book: Paradigm shift...

Three things you can’t live without.
Air, water, and other people [Laughs]

I’ll never understand why…
People think a living dog is always better than a dead lion.
