Soulja Boy fights to save his sweet “Sizzurp.”

Earlier this week, “Sizzurp” aka “lean” aka Prometh with Codeine Cough Cyrup, reportedly popular with celebrities like Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Chief Keef and Soulja Boy, was pulled off the shelves. Production was also ceased amid the manufacturer’s fears that the high end cough syrup is being abused as a “legal high.”

One person particularly unhappy with Actavis (the company behind the brand) is rapper Soulja Boy, who says that he is “mad as hell” at the decision, claiming that the pharmaceutical company is not punishing rappers but hurting those who really need the medication.

According to TMZ,

“Soulja says he drinks Actavis on the road so he can sleep — and he says there’s nothing wrong with that … so he’s rallying his friends together in a petition drive.

Soulja adds, ‘As far as the lean goes, just know I been had the juice since 2011.'”

In February, Soulja Boy was arrested and charged with possession of a hand gun. Just days following his arrest, he took to Instagram where he posted photos glorifying the use of high-end Sizzurp.

We’re guessing his new petition won’t save the world or his butt in court. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
