The Atlanta Jazz Festival is one of the nation’s largest free jazz festivals in the country and it’s loaded with international, national and local performers. This Memorial Day weekend May 26-28 from 11 a.m.-to 1 p.m. come out and enjoy this world-class jazz experience at Piedmont Park. Stellar performances from Kathleen Bertrand, Roy Ayers, Youth Jazz Band Competition, and the Robert Glasper Experiment just to name of few from the impressive  line-up will set the tone for a great holiday weekend. Bring a picnic basket to the Atlanta jazz festival and pick your spot or stop at any of the food vendors to get provisions for a day or afternoon in the park. The 35th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival kicked off cabaret with a stirring performance from Atlanta native June Freeman followed  by the evening’s feature act, the brilliant jazz pianist Johnny O’Neal.  at Loews Atlanta Hotel on last night Friday, May 25.


On Sunday, May 27 the AJF late Night Jazz Jam with Friends hosted by Jason Orr at Loews Atlanta Hotel in the Ellington Ballroom. Tickets are still available for both Atlanta Jazz Festival events at www.ticketalternative.com.
