the perfect holiday: chicago screening
shoulda been there

Chicagoans got a Christmas gift a little early when the cast of The Perfect Holiday, including Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, Queen Latifah and Faizon Love, made an appearance at the Ice Chatham theater on Chicago’s South Side to spread Christmas cheer and promote the movie. “[We are] just bringing a little color to a wonderful Christmas story,” said Latifah, smiling for a throng of young fans. “We have the only family-oriented Christmas movie, with classic characters [and] that Christmas magic.”

With luminaries like “Real Men Cook” founder Yvette Moyo, and Hot 97 personality Kendra G on hand, the South Side got a taste of Beverly Hills — except, of course, there was plenty of snow on the ground. “This is a gas, man,” said Faizon Love.

“Everyone’s so cool, we’ve known each other for many years,” added Union. “To be able to work together was a blast.”

Union’s on-screen paramour, Morris Chestnut, was happy to spread some holiday cheer. “I just like to see people happy,” he said. “Christmastime can be a time when people reflect on what they don’t have and get a little depressed. I just want people to reflect on what they do have.” - todd williams
