Week in TV: What to Watch April 9-13
Spring is in full bloom and the weather is spectacular, but don’t spend too much time outside, because there’s plenty to watch on TV this week. Highlights include the midseason premiere of “Glee” (finally!), the new ABC show “Scandal” and Michelle Obama on “The Biggest Loser.”
Monday, April 9
“Dancing with the Stars”: 8 p.m. on ABC
This reality show goes all out with a performance from KISS and dance numbers set to rock songs.
NewNowNextAwards: 10 p.m. on LOGO
Hosted by Kelly Osbourne, there’s no doubt this annual pop culture awards show will be flamboyant and fabulous. “American Idol” alum Adam Lambert is set to perform.
Tuesday, April 10
“Glee”: 8 p.m. on Fox
The show’s last episode ended with several cliffhangers—tune into the season premiere to find out what happened to Quinn (who got hit by a truck) and if Rachel and Finn got married as soon as they had been planning to.
“The Biggest Loser”: 8 p.m. on NBC
First Lady Michelle Obama guest stars on this week’s episode of the weight-loss competition.
Wednesday, April 11
“Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23”: 9:30 p.m. on ABC
In this new sitcom, a Midwestern girl (Dreama Walker) arrives in New York City and moves in with a party girl (Krysten Ritter), whose best friend is James Van Der Beek (played by the Dawson’s Creek actor himself).
Thursday, April 12
“Scandal”: 10 p.m. on ABC
It’s not too late to catch up this new ABC show from “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shondra Rhimes. The show premiered on April 5, so you’ve only missed one episode. Scandal stars Kerry Washington as a “fixer” (and ex-White House staff member) in Washington, D.C. who runs a crisis management firm. Watch the premiere online.
“Say Yes to the Dress”: Bridesmaids: 9:30 p.m. on TLC
Checkout the series premiere of this spinoff of Say Yes to the Dress, which focuses on bridal parties in typical over-the-top wedding style.
Friday, April 13
“ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert”: 9 p.m. on CBS”
This concert show includes more than a dozen performances by Richie singing with the country stars featured on his album “Tuskegee.” During the show, Jennifer Nettles joins him onstage for “Hello,” while he and Kenny Rogers sing “Lady.”
