Wolf Creek Amphitheater Jazz Series starts strong

The first show of the Jazz Series kicked off this past Saturday with artists, Ruben Studdard, Mike Phillips, Ken Ford and Noel Gourdin. There are three jazz shows in the series to keep guests entertained by the smooth jazz sounds.


The next Jazz series will be Sept. 20, with Chanté Moore, who is also a cast member of “R&B Divas,” with multi-octave vocal range. Also performing will be Phil Perry, jazz trumpeter Joey Sommerville and R&B artist Algebra.


The last of the Jazz Series will include Maysa Leak, who has collaborated with Rick Braun, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler and more. The “jazzy and smooth” Avery Sunshine and the sounds from trumpet and flugelhorn player, Milkshake. who has been around the world with some of the greatest jazz giants like Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, mentored Wynton Marsalis, Cab Calloway, and many others.

Wolf Creek Amphitheater tickets start at only $25 and allow you to bring in your own food and drinks (coolers no larger than 38 quarts) and this year, there is free parking with the purchase of a ticket. The gates open at 5:00 pm and concert begins at 7:00 pm.
