Please describe your leadership style as an entrepreneur.

Quite naturally I am an outgoing person. I am an optimistic individual. I always find myself motivating people throughout the day! I take risk. And I always put my best foot forward!

What was your entrepreneurial path, including schooling, personal and/or professional experiences, that led you to where you are today?

It’s been a journey! That’s for sure! I started when I was 16 years young. I knew I wanted to be my own boss. I summoned up the power to produce my very first fashion production at 16. It was very successful. People loved what I was doing. It was refreshing and a positive reinforcement for my community.  I decided to nurture and expand my gifts. I wanted the proper training. I attended Columbia College Chicago where I received my Bachelors degree in Fashion Design. That’s when I learned to network. I was all over the place. I became a familiar face locally. From there it was history! Literally.

Just recently my husband joined on to help me expand my jewelry line to men. This is very exciting for the company. As many men have been inquiring some custom innovative men’s pieces. We are happy to serve them fascinating jewelry pieces!

What three skills are critical for entrepreneurs?

I would say it’s very important to be able to cope with disappointment and failures. Failures are inevitable when you are building a successful company from the ground up.

Self-motivation is a skill every business owner and entrepreneur should possess. Your company does not work unless you do!  Every single day is a fresh start. Success is when opportunity meets preparation. It’s important to stay motivated and to welcome amazing opportunities into your life.  A self-motivated individual attracts many people. Which attracts lifetime supporters and clients.

How do you utilize technology to benefit your company?

Technology is a very important part of my success. I order most of my materials online.

I wear many hats. My time is precious. I don’t always have time to run around town resourcing materials. I have a conglomerate of amazing vendors across the world that conveniently do business online.

What do you consider the three keys to your company’s success?

1) Commitment to creating a beautiful and unique product. 2) Customer service loyalty. 3) Sticking to my mission statement. We are always updating our product with the best materials! We do our homework on our clients! We help them to better their lives by providing them a luxurious image and lifestyle.

What professional organizations do you support?

Hustle Mommies is my favorite organization to support! I love the positive energy they provide for mothers around the Nation.

Describe your networking style.

I love to attend social networking events! I also enjoy networking on social networking sites.

If you were giving a graduation speech to college students, what would the title of your speech be and what are three reasons fro choosing that title.

1) Many students are taught how to spend their lives working and building a successful future for someone else. It is important to me that our future leaders understand the importance of community building and self-help. 2) To build the confidence of our future leaders. To give them hope! And to help them to understand no matter your background or family history, you can accomplish anything that comes to mind! 3) To demonstrate problem solving with real life situations and professional problems that exist in the workplace and small business building.
