Miami mother dies after getting butt implants from Venezuelan doctor (photos)

Suyima Torres thought she was going under the knife for a common and popular procedure with no complications. What she didn’t expect, however, was that the procedure, priced at $2,300, would end up costing her life instead. Now, police have launched an investigation into the death of the 28-year-old Florida mother, after butt-enhancement injections from a Venezuelan doctor left her dead. Police will treat the case as manslaughter or homicide, as the doctor is said to be unlicensed in the practice of medicine.

According to the Daily Mail:

Suyima reportedly visited Cuerpos Health and Aesthetics for a $1,500 procedure in which an oily yellow substance was injected into each of her butt cheeks, according to court documents.

A few weeks later she had another round of injections and felt dizzy right after. She died ten hours later.

Torres’ mother, Coralia Espinosa, told NBCMiami her daughter was rushed to the hospital accompanied by Ruth Planas after the second procedure.

But she never told the doctors about the procedure.

“Maybe if that woman would’ve told them early my daughter would still be here,” she said.

Miami Dade Police have seized records, medications, and computers from Cuerpos Health and Aesthetics LLC. However, no charges have yet to be filed – the suspect is believed to have fled the country and the owner of the health center is refusing to provide any information on the doctor.
