Lil Mouse has made a name for himself as one of the young rappers from the “Drill” movement in Chicago. However, the 13-year-old rapper has also faced criticism for his songs that glorify violence and sex. The music is typical of the messages often spewed by rappers such as Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. But it’s more shocking to hear and see it from a teen who can’t legally drive.

Lil Mouse recently got in trouble at school for slapping and threatening to kill an 8-year-old boy at his school for snitching. The young boy’s grandmother feared for the safety of her grand son and asked school officials at West Pullman Elementary to allow her son to transfer to another school.

But since they all stay in the same neighborhood, she wants to move from her home and could leave Chicago all together. In March, several people were shot after Lil Mouse performed at his mixtape release party.

Some believe that Lil Mouse’s lyrics and provocative music videos are a form of child abuse. Do you believe his parents should be reprimanded for allowing Lil Mouse to rap without censorship at the age of 13?
