13-Year Old Lil Mouse Releases Violent Raps Similar to Chief Keef, Co-Signed by Lil Wayne

Chief Keef and other young rappers are drawing attention to a new Chicago rap movement. Unlike the city’s rap movement of the early 2000s that featured great lyricists such as Kanye West, Common and Twista, the new era of Chicago rappers appear to only subscribe to nihilism and the same violence that’s ravaging the city’s black community.

Now a 13-year-old rapper has entered the sad fray. Lil Mouse is a new rapper who is drawing major attention. The middle schooler released a video called “Lil Mouse Get Smoked” in July and the video has already gotten 300,000 views.  In the video, Lil Mouse holds a gun, carries stacks of money and raps about violence and drug use.

“.30 clip and them hollow tips have his ass sitting in Roseland, Rollin’ off a pill, pussies better chill, My n—s in the field, you might get killed……40 hit his face, BBQ his a–s like a grill.”

He also raps about sex. “B—h calling my phone, leave me alone, I’m trying to bone, then pass it to lil bro, then leave that b—h, tell that hoe, ‘So long,'” he raps. What’s more disturbing is that Lil Wayne co-signed Lil Mouse and the song by remixing it on his most recent mixtape Dedication 4.

Any parent who allows their 13-year-old child to create a song and video with such words and images should be arrested for child neglect. It shows a lack of responsibility and an inability to parent properly. It could almost be considered a form of child pornography because of the overt sexual nature of the lyrics.

Along with Lil Mouse’s parents, Lil Wayne, the song’s producer and his manager, P. Noble, should also be criticized for promoting the song. Adults shouldn’t allow our children  to be exploited.

But as long as, mostly white-owned, record labels pay young black men to preach violence, drug use and irresponsible sex, we can expect thousands of other young men to rap and live the lifestyle that only leads to destruction.
