Beyoncé Writes Letter on Anniversary of Jackson’s Death
In addition to being a platinum-selling singer, a wife and a mother to baby Blue Ivy, Beyoncé is continuing to show off her writing “skills.” The mommy who was recognized by the New York Association of Black Journalists for an Essence magazine article, has been on a writing frenzy this year and penned several letters to influential people in her life, the latest being Michael Jackson.
On Monday, the woman who’s obviously proving that she can do it all, wrote a letter to Jackson thanking him for inadvertently teaching her how to sing from her soul. “When I was just starting out, my first producer used to make me listen to Michael Jackson’s live performance of ‘Who’s Loving You.’ He would have me watching for hours,” wrote Bey. “What he wanted me to learn was his soul. You could hear his soul and he was the little kid who hadn’t experienced love, but was a vessel,” she continued. “For whatever reason, he could evoke more emotion than an adult. It was so raw and so pure. It was these little things that he did that were just swag. It’s something that’s God given.”
Furthermore Beyoncé says Mike helped her feel comfortable letting go onstage,”Sometimes you have to forget technique, forget what you have on. If you feel silly, you have to go from the gut, just let it go.”

Beyoncé, who may or may not be a great writer, is nonetheless opening up to her fans with her ongoing series of letters. The move is an obvious way to keep buzz around her name but furthermore a way for her “Beyhive” to get a look into the head of the usually incredibly private songstress.
