Brandy is angry with Ray J over ‘I Hit It First’

Ray J has been making waves the past few days since the release of his much talked-about single “I Hit It First.” The song, widely assumed to be a diss aimed at his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend Kanye West, has been criticized as being tacky and immature.

Of course, Kim Kardashian and Ray J are forever linked by the 2005 sex tape that turned her into a household name and made him a tabloid fixture. The R&B singer has denied that the song is explicitly about KimYe, however, despite the fact that the single’s artwork featured a pixelated image of Kim in a bikini.

“I mean a lot of people saying a lot of different things about the record. For me, the record is self-explanatory,” Ray J said during an appearance on “The All Out Show.” “Like I tell everybody, I’m not trying to put fuel on the fire. You know what I’m saying? We just want people to enjoy the record. It’s more so about me than anybody else.”

Ray J also said that Kanye shouldn’t be angry about something so far in the past.

“I don’t think nobody should be upset about something that really happened,” said Ray J. “I think when people do music everybody talks about they life and what they go through. This just my chapter and I think people need to look at it like that and don’t look at it for nothing more than that.”

Ray J also spoke with Karen Civil this week about “I Hit It First,” and shared that his superstar sister, singer/actress Brandy, had heard the song.

And big sister is apparently not pleased.
