Chris Brown and Rihanna Secretly Hooking Up?
Over the past few weeks, reports have been swirling that former flames Chris Brown and Rihanna are on the verge of rekindling their relationship. Sources are now claiming that the two have apparently been carrying on a secret affair for the last year.
Back on Feb. 8, 2009, the couple made headlines after Chris Brown brutally beat Rihanna before they were to appear at the Grammy Awards. Brown later pled guilty to assault charges and was served a restraining order to stay away from Rihanna.
But according to US Weekly, several sources claim that the two will be spending the “anniversary” of that fateful night together. The sources also told the site that Brown and Rihanna have been secretly hooking up with each other for nearly a year, with a source close to Brown claiming they “meet up very casually” and that Rihanna “comes to see him anytime she’s in L.A.”
“They can’t get enough of each other. I don’t see it ending well,” said an industry insider. And according to an insider for Rihanna, the good girl gone bad likes the thrill of their secret affair. “Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that,” said the source.
Despite his alleged secret affair with Rihanna, Brown is very publicly attached to his girlfriend, aspiring model Karreuche Tran.
“He and Rihanna are just friends. He’s not cheating,” said a rep for Brown to US.
However, a reunion between Brown and Rihanna wouldn’t be out of the question. The two began following each other on Twitter last year, and since then, they have posted cryptic tweets about love that many believe are secret messages between them. And news reports have also claimed that Rihanna is on a mission to break up Brown’s relationship with Tran and get back with him.
Only time will reveal whether these two will get back together or not, but they certainly wouldn’t be the first celebrity couple to call it quits, only to get back together again. Check out these famous on-again, off-again couples below. –nicholas robinson
